The siege on the U.S. Capitol last week has resulted in at least one architecture firm envisioning more fortification for the building.

German architecture firm Opposite Office has re-imagined the building as Capitol Castle, surrounded by a 9-foot thick fortified wall.

"As a reaction to the storm on the Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump, we designed a plan to convert the Capitol into a fortress to protect democracy," said Opposite Office founder Benedikt Hartl.

The wall, as designed, would be constructed of recycled bricks and would have rounded corner towers.
