In Under Contract this week, UrbanTurf finds out that two listings it christened as deals over the last week have (or are close to having) sales pending on them.
Deal of the Year in Georgetown

Late last week, we ran a post on the five-bedroom Georgetown home above, boldly claiming it was a Deal of the Year for the storied DC neighborhood due to its very low price compared to other properties of its size in the area. (Five-bedroom homes currently on the market in Georgetown range in price from about $2.5 million all the way up to $15 million.) The listing has four bedrooms in the main house and a one-bedroom lower level suite, as well as a large patio area, a two-car garage and even a wine cellar. We featured it on Friday and a sale was pending on it by Monday.
- Address: 1642 35th Street NW (map)
- Price: $1.385 Million
- Bedrooms: Five
- Bathrooms: 5.5
- Square Footage: 3,159
- Days on Market: Two

As Is Between Capitol Hill and H Street
We should preface this post by saying that there is not a sale pending on this property. Yet.
However, multiple offers have already been submitted on the Deal of the Week we featured yesterday. The three-bedroom home is an estate sale, being sold as-is and from the lack of interior photos it likely needs a good deal of work. That said, it is fairly well located about five blocks south of the heart of the H Street Corridor and four blocks northeast of Lincoln Park. In the original post, we put this home’s potential into perspective by noting that a similarly-sized row house on the same block that was move-in ready sold last summer for $580,000.
- Address: 343 Tennessee Avenue NE (map)
- Price: $252,000
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: Two
- Square Footage: 1,680
- Days on Market: Two
