Today, Under Contract reexamines three recently-featured listings: two on opposite sides of the H Street corridor which went under contract in close to a month, and a Brightwood bungalow which went under contract in less than a week.
An H Street Rowhouse with a Rear Bay
While much of DC's rowhouse stock is characterized by a bay window along the façade, this rowhouse boasts a bay on the backside of the property. The front enjoys a full-length porch, and the interior of the house features wood prominently, with the hardwood flooring and baseboards matching the trim on the doors and windows. An exposed brick wall hosts the staircase to the left side of the main level, while the living room to the right has extra-tall windows and a fireplace-free wood mantelpiece with built-in mirror. The dining room enjoys the rear bay window and runs parallel to the kitchen with green-tiled backsplash and breakfast bar. The bay window is also in the owner's bedroom above, which also has a transom above the door, a storage alcove above the closet door, and a deep bathroom with standalone tub. The home found a buyer after about three weeks on the market.

Under Contract in Under a Week in Brightwood
This three-bedroom Brightwood bungalow went under contract in six days. The house enjoys generous outdoor space, from the fenced-in back- and side-yards to the wide wrap-around porch and front yard shaded by a pair of mature trees. Inside, the living room at the front of the home has a white brick fireplace and also houses the staircase. The formal dining room has a pass-through window to the renovated kitchen, which is outfitted in a retro-modern style with a white farmhouse sink, white built-ins and white tiled floors contrasting with stainless steel appliances, butcher block countertops and cherry red lacquered cabinetry. The three bedrooms upstairs share a full bathroom; the second full bathroom and the laundry room are both in the basement.

About a Month for Atlas District Rowhouse
One month and one price reduction after being listed, this modernized Atlas District rowhouse has gone under contract. A stained-glass archtop transom window above the front door announces the house number, and the living area at the front of the main level is lengthened by the bay window, which also creates a built-in bench with interior storage. Color-blocked paint delineates the dining area beyond, which then leads to a rear kitchen with grey farmhouse cabinetry and a coordinating subway tile backsplash. A set of french doors lead out to a concrete deck overlooking the slate patio and fenced-in rear yard. The lower level has a separate front entrance and is divided equally between a rec room and sizeable storage space. The house also has a solar panel installation.
