The Shay was built in 2015 as part of a larger development push in the Shaw neighborhood. The building consists of studio, one- and two- bedroom apartments, and has a number of amenities. The purchase of the apartment building does not include the 27,000 square feet of retail which is home to retailers like Union Kitchen, Compass Coffee, Le Labo, Warby Parker and Bonobos.
“The Shay offers the best of everything including state-of-the-art amenities, beautifully appointed apartment homes and a central location in the dynamic Shaw neighborhood, which is an amenity unto itself,” Bernstein Management Corporation CEO Josh Bernstein said in a statement.
