This Saturday October 1st, EYA will celebrate the grand opening of the Condominiums at Old Town Commons – the first new condos to open in Old Town Alexandria since 2008.
Old Town Commons is a new home community located just four blocks from the Braddock Road Metro on the Blue and Yellow lines. Five city blocks are being transformed into a vibrant, walkable neighborhood just steps from the shops of King Street and the countless recreational opportunities along the Potomac River. Two city blocks of townhomes have already been constructed and sold. The condominiums are part of the next phase of construction, which will also include additional townhomes.
The Condominiums at Old Town Commons are designed in a modern, loft-inspired architectural style. Brick exteriors are accented by Juliet balconies and detailed metalwork. The new homes, which are priced starting in the low $300s will have gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, maple cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, dining and living areas with hardwood throughout, and ceramic tile bathrooms with modern fixtures. In keeping with the green building movement, the condominiums have been designed to LEED for Homes standards, the most comprehensive green building certification program in the country. The 44-unit boutique building will have one-bedroom, one-with-den and two-bedroom units, all of which will include garage parking with lockable storage areas.
The grand opening will take place this Saturday from 11am to 6pm at 735 North Alfred Street (map) with treats from locally renowned Buzz Bakery! Call 571-312-8910 for additional details or visit www.EYA.com.
