The parking meter payment tools just keep coming to Arlington.
Nine months after Parkmobile launched in the county, EasyPark, an in-vehicle parking meter, announced its arrival on Monday.
The coin-free/credit card-free parking tool is the successor to the county’s iPark system. EasyPark is essentially an in-car meter that you turn on and hang on your window when you park at a metered spot in Arlington. The way that EasyPark separates itself from other tools is that when you get back in your car, you turn it off and only pay for the time that you were parked.
EasyPark costs $30 — $25 for the device and $5 for parking time. Buyers get an additional $5 of parking time for free, and then can go online to add more time when they run out. For more details, click here.
