DC Ranks Among Cities That Will Emerge Strongest After Recession

In its July issue, Kiplinger’s has compiled a list of the ten cities that will emerge strongest after the recession, and not surprisingly, DC ranks third on the list.
The list was compiled based on job markets in select U.S. cities and how those markets fare when the economy is in trouble. Here is the blurb from Kiplinger about DC’s ranking:
“For better or worse, the federal government is big and getting bigger. Uncle Sam fuels nearby companies in almost every sector, especially law firms, lobbyists, and aerospace and defense companies.”
Huntsville, Alabama topped the list because of the southern city’s missile-defense and aerospace industries. The full list is below.
