The three most expensive homes to sell in the DC region over the last few months include listings in Kalorama, Georgetown and McLean.
Seven Bedrooms On a Corner Lot in Kalorama
This 100 year-old Kalorama home is the third priciest home to sell in the region this summer; on the market for about a year, the home sold earlier this month for just shy of $9.15 million. Sitting on a corner lot, the seven-bedroom home was renovated about 15 years ago, and has a number of formal entertaining rooms, as well as grounds that feature a large pool and a series of landscaped gardens.

The second priciest home to sell in the region this summer is an eight-bedroom, 9,300 square-foot residence along N Street in Georgetown that sold for $9.65 million in July. The property sits on one of the oldest residential lots in the neighborhood, and was constructed 135 years ago. The formal floorplan features a large foyer, a banquet-sized dining room, a primary suite with two fireplaces and a covered deck, and at the top of the home, there is a turreted playroom.

A month ago, a six-bedroom house in McLean sold for just shy of $10 million, becoming the most expensive home to sell in the area this summer. Owned by Wes Bush, the former chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman, the 12,000 square-foot listing has a number of interesting features including a two-story music room, a 500 square-foot custom closet in the primary bedroom suite, a 1,200 bottle wine cellar, and a pool area with a spa and gazebo.
