One of the priciest homes along McLean's Gold Coast has found a buyer.

The contemporary Potomac River estate at 1169 Crest Lane (map), listed at $17,500,000, went under contract on Wednesday. The home is listed privately with Piper Yerks and Ben Roth of Washington Fine Properties.

Built in 2013, the listing sits on 2.32 acres with sweeping views of the Potomac River, a valuable swath of land even without a home on it. The three-level residence spans 8,800 square feet of finished space, with four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. The lower level features a rec room, wet bar, sauna and gym.

A closing price at or near $17.5 million would rank the Crest Lane listing as the second priciest home to sell in the region this year. The current benchmark is the historic Halcyon House in Georgetown, which Commanders owner Josh Harris purchased in January for $28 million —a record-setting price for the District.

Crest Lane has generated its share of blockbuster transactions in recent years. Just down the street, the estate at 1260 Crest Lane — known as the Stratford House — sold in spring 2025 for $14,050,000, the first time in half a century the property had changed hands.  In 2020, the estate at 1211 Crest Lane — known as Little Falls and the former home of ABC correspondent Sam Donaldson's ex-wife — sold off-market for $24 million.
