One Of Northern Virginia's Priciest Homes Sells For $14 Million

A seven-bedroom home along the banks of the Potomac River sold recently, becoming one of the most expensive listings to sell in Northern Virginia this year.
1260 Crest Lane (map) closed late last week for $14.05 million, making it the second priciest home to sell in Northern Virginia in 2025. Dubbed the Stratford House, the property -- listed with Piper Yerks and Ben Roth of Washington Fine Properties -- had not been listed for sale in decades prior to going on the market last year.
As originally reported by The Wall Street Journal, the loftiness of the listing price has much more to do with the land rather than the home itself. Lots like this one in McLean along the Potomac can fetch upwards of $20 million. The listing sits on four acres and has roughly 215 feet of frontage along the river.
