What $2,800 Rents You in the DC Area
This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $2,800 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.
925 Square-Foot Two-Bedroom Next to Meridian Hill Park
This two-bedroom, two-bath unit is located on the second floor of a renovated three-story building right next to Meridian Hill Park. The 925 square-foot apartment has central air, a security system, walk-in closet, and those most sought-after of rental amenities — a washer/dryer and a parking space. The unit is available October 1 for a 12-month lease, and the monthly rent includes water and gas.

A Three-Bedroom Row House That is More NoMa Than Capitol Hill
Renting for $2,900 a month starting on November 1, this row house has three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and an office. Two large bedrooms, a bathroom and the office are located on the second floor, and the finished basement is set up as a third bedroom with its own bathroom. The house also has central A/C, a washer/dryer and a back deck, but its location at 4th and L Street NE puts it more in NoMa territory than the advertised Capitol Hill.

Five-Bedroom Leesburg Home Rented For the First Time
This 3,200 square-foot, five-bedroom home in Leesburg is indicative of how much more space renters can get for their money the farther one goes from downtown DC. The three-level house was built in 2003, and this is the first time that it has been put on the rental market. Available starting October 15, the home has a large family room with a fireplace, four bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement, a large deck, and a two-car garage. The garage will come in handy as the eventual renter will need a car to get around because the home is not located close to public transportation.
- Full Listing: Tennessee Drive at Battlefield Parkway, Leesburg, VA (map)
- Rent: $2,700 a month
- Bedrooms: Five
- Bathrooms: 4.5
