Last week, UrbanTurf took a look at the Maryland suburbs with the highest home price appreciation so far in 2023. Today, we will take a look at the close-in Northern Virginia zip codes where prices have risen the most.
In the table below, we outline the areas that have seen the largest percentage increase in home values this year. In order to qualify for the list, a zip code had to record at least 20 sales so far in 2023.

This year, the Falls Church zip code of 22044 leads the way with a nearly 40% increase in median sales prices, thanks in large part to price increases for three- and four-bedroom detached homes. Despite over 300 homes trading hands this year, the McLean zip code of 22102 has seen prices rise 37%. An Arlington zip code and Alexandria zip code have seen prices rise more than 20%.
22207 -- an area that hugs the Potomac River -- is the one zip code on the list where the median price exceeds $1.2 million. However, even with 280 sales this year, prices have risen almost 9%.
