UrbanTurf is taking its semi-regular look at the areas around DC that have seen the highest home price appreciation so far in 2022. Today, we look at the close-in Virginia zip codes where prices have risen the most.

In the table below, we outline the seven areas that have seen the largest percentage increase in home values. In order to qualify for the list, a zip code had to record at least 20 sales so far in 2022.

The zip code where home values have risen the most this year is 22307, which runs along the Potomac River and is home to neighborhoods like Belle Haven and Belle View. The 27% price increase is largely driven by townhouses and large detached homes. The McLean zip code of 22101, home to some of the priciest real estate in the region, saw home prices rise 16%, thanks entirely to detached houses.

The other zip codes where home prices rose between 7%-9% include other parts of Alexandria, Vienna, North Arlington, Falls Church and Del Ray.
