As has been the case in recent years, the two neighborhoods leading the way are on opposite sides of the city. Brentwood, a neighborhood adjacent to Union Market and Ivy City, saw home prices rise 40 percent this year. Coming in a distant second is West End, the high-priced neighborhood adjacent to Georgetown. Home prices here rose 25 percent this year. Rounding out the top five are Burleith, Eckington and Anacostia.
