A four-story building at the eastern edge of Georgetown's commercial strip is moving closer to its new life as high-end housing.
Douglas Development is pitching a residential conversion of 2715 M Street NW from mixed-use to fully residential. The project, designed by ADG+G Architecture, would transform the existing building into six townhouses and two penthouse condos.
Because the property sits within the Georgetown Historic District, the development team must take the proposal before the Old Georgetown Board with a hearing scheduled for May.
