Quick Hits: Mount Pleasant Solar Condos Almost Sold Out, Hill East Stays in Ward 6
1724 Park Road NW
- Three of the four units at 1724 Park Road NW, a solar condo project in Mount Pleasant, have gone under contract. Longtime neighborhood residents will recognize the home-turned boutique condo project as the house that was ravaged by a fire back in October 2007.
- In redistricting news, Housing Complex’s Lydia DePillis reported yesterday that, according to a source “Ward 6 will keep Rosedale and Hill East—including Congressional Cemetery—while sending Reservation 13 and the jail to Ward 7.”
- Curbed DC has reported that construction is now complete on the DC-area’s first passive house. The 4,500 square-foot, five-bedroom Bethesda home, which UrbanTurf covered back in February, is expected to use 90 percent less energy per square foot than a comparable existing home in the region.
