Renovated Two-Bedroom at The Rhode Island in Bloomingdale
The units in The Rhode Island at 1929 1st Street NW have all been renovated in recent years. This 964 square-foot two-bedroom condo is on the top floor of the 13-unit building, and has 12-foot ceilings in a large living room, a new kitchen, central A/C, and an in-unit washer/dryer. Both bedrooms are also fairly spacious, leaving the one downside to the unit, which is that it doesn’t include parking.

Former Rooming House Turned Five-Bedroom Capitol Hill Home
UrbanTurf used to have a feature called “If I Had A $1 Million” where we would highlight a luxury seven-figure home on the market. Well, if we had that type of money, this is the type of property we would buy.
Originally a rooming house on Capitol Hill, the current owners (who have been there for 28 years) converted it into a four-bedroom home with a one-bedroom, one-bath rental unit on the ground level. The two features that UrbanTurf liked the most about the listing are the roof deck that takes up the rear half of the top floor, and the separate studio in the backyard, which has loft space and a bathroom.

- Price: $1.249 million
- Bedrooms: Five
- Bathrooms: 3.5
