This week's installment of Above Asking revisits three recently-featured, seven-figure listings which each sold for more than listing price.
$99,000 for Books on the Wall
This shelving-filled Friendship Heights four-bedroom sold for just shy of six figures above listing price recently. The interior is well-suited for a book-lover, with shelving surrounding the entryway to the living room and creating rows to peruse in the loft-like top level of the house, where a series of built-in shelving units are wedged beneath a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and between an archtop window and a skylit office nook. The house also has generous outdoor space, including a spacious rear brick patio and an angular wrap-around porch that leads to an octagonal screened-in porch which creates a balcony for the owner's bedroom above.

The lower level is a one-bedroom in-law suite with a galley kitchen, fireplace, and access to a pebble-covered patio beneath a partially-covered deck.
