What's Hot: A (Slight) Price Drop For Dianne Feinstein's DC Home | The Plans For a 68-Unit Condo/Townhouse Project in Downtown Bethesda
A First Look at 21-Story, 330-Unit Project Planned Near Farm Women's Market in Bethesda
Plans for a large new residential development in downtown Bethesda are coming into focus with the first images of the building and a revised program for the residential units.
Since first being pitched last year, Wisconsin Avenue Properties LLC has filed new plans with the Montgomery County planning commission for a 21-story, 330-unit residential project at 7126 Wisconsin Avenue (map). The development, designed by SK+I Architecture, would sit at Wisconsin and Bethesda Avenues, across from the historic Farm Women’s Market.

Approximately 15% of the units will be moderately priced dwelling units, while 130 may be rented for variable periods of time.
"Recently, with the evolution of housing choices, the demand for furnished dwelling units has only grown," documents filed with Montgomery County stated. "These units are typically rented by residents who are in the process of relocating, have long-term consulting engagements with their employer, are present in the area for temporary medical or educational purposes, are renovating their own home, are in the process of separation or divorce, or otherwise want to move to or remain in Montgomery County but cannot commit to a long-term lease at that time."
The project will go before the county's Development Review Committee later this month. For a rundown of the development on the boards for downtown Bethesda, click here.
