Long-term mortgage rates didn’t move a muscle this week.
On Thursday morning, Freddie Mac reported 3.43 percent with an average 0.6 point as the average on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, the same rate as last week.
From Freddie Mac chief economist Sean Beckettion today’s rates:
Treasury yields were little changed from the prior week and the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage held steady at 3.43 percent this week. This marks the ninth consecutive week that mortgage rates have been below 3.5 percent.
The UrbanTurf Mortgage Rate Disclaimer: The rates reported by Freddie Mac for 30-year mortgages are usually the best rates that the most qualified borrowers can get, so borrowers or those considering refinancing should not necessarily read this news and think that they can go out and get a loan with the quoted interest rate.
