The Amazon HQ2 decision appears to be pushing development plans in National Landing forward.
An LCOR subsidiary has applied for a site plan amendment at 400 11th Street South (map) to construct an 18-story residential-over-retail building. The location currently houses a two-story Verizon building and surface parking.

Upon completion, the building will deliver 285 residential units and 12,194 square feet of retail or service space above 114 underground vehicular and bicycle parking spaces across three levels.
Public art contributions from this development and from the adjacent Altaire mixed-use building could be combined to fund the creation of "transit shelter artwork". The development team also plans to combine a portion of the land fronting South Eads Street with a County-owned parcel fronting the same street for use as public open space.
SK+I Architectural Design Group is the building architect.
