14th Street Post Office Razed, 144-Unit Apartment Building Moving Forward?

Rendering of 1905-1917 14th Street NW
The post office near the intersection of 14th and T Street NW was razed yesterday, a sign that the 144-unit apartment project planned for 1905-1917 14th Street NW (map) may start construction soon.
Plans for the new project from Level 2 Development (which developed View 14 right up the street) call for a seven-story building with 144 apartments, down from an original total of 154 units. The project would also have a ground-floor retail component.
Representatives from Level 2 Development declined to comment as to when exactly construction would begin.
