The porch at 101 Park Avenue
For some reason, the best bungalows in the DC area are located outside DC proper in places like Del Ray and Takoma Park. This Week’s Find is an Arts and Crafts bungalow located not too far from the main stretch of Takoma Park that caught our eye for a number of reasons.
For one, the three-bedroom listing is in the running for having the best view from a porch in the DC area (see above). It also still has a good deal of the original woodwork from when it was built in 1917, including the original floors and the built-in cabinets around the fireplace. There is also a cellar that is not attached to the house that remains unfinished, but has a bathroom and could be an interesting project for an industrious buyer.

Living room
Located about a block from the main commercial area in Takoma Park and about four blocks from the Metro, the listing has already garnered a fair amount of interest, averaging about seven showings a day in the 6 days it has been on the market.
