This Week's Find: Dupont One-Bedroom Finds Its Price Point
1734 P Street NW, #33
Occasionally it takes a little time for a listing on the market to find its appropriate asking price. UrbanTurf believes that This Week’s Find, a one-bedroom co-op in Dupont Circle, recently found its sweet spot.
The 670 square-foot co-op sits in The Avondale, a co-op building on P Street between 17th and 18th Street, and seems to fit the bill as a good option for a first-timer. There are hardwood floors, a new kitchen, and a decent-sized living room and bedroom. The monthly fees may seem steep, but keep in mind that those include property taxes. What the buyer will really be paying for with this unit is its location: half a block from the restaurants and bars of 17th Street and a five-minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro.
Kitchen
Originally listed for $349,900, the unit at 1734 P Street NW has had its price reduced twice, most recently to its current $329,000. For comparison purposes, a 750 square-foot one-bedroom on the second floor of The Avondale fetched $375,000 at the end of May.
