This Week's Find is an industrial-style carriage home in Logan Circle that had former lives as both a machinist’s garage and a warehouse.
Seven years ago, the current owners of 1420 Paloma Way NW decided to transform the property into the luxury carriage house that stands today, listing agent Brad House said. Now, as their family has grown, they have put it on the market.

Ten-foot mahogany doors open into the focal point of the three-bedroom home which is a large, open main level with a kitchen, a double-sided fireplace that divides the open-concept living and dining area and a lofted ceiling that lets in natural light. Exposed brick, skylights and hardwood floors are found throughout the listing. A rooftop patio has an outdoor grill, sink and counter space.
While many of the home's features are new, remnants of the property's former lives are still noticeable. Bits of the original wood were repurposed throughout the building during its transition, House said. On the exterior, passers-by can spot white lettering from the listing's previous use as a workshop.
Despite being located in one of the city's busiest restaurant corridors, the location and history of the property aren’t well known among people in the area.
“We have learned that many real estate agents and residents that have lived in Logan Circle never even knew Paloma Way existed,” House said.
