Sponsored Post: The Lacey Reduces Prices on Last 5 Units

The Lacey has just reduced prices significantly on its last five units. Arguably the most distinctive residential building constructed in the DC metropolitan area, it sits at 11th and Florida Avenue, just three blocks from the U Street Metro and the neighborhood’s many restaurants, bars, and shops.
The Lacey is a unique and progressive building by any standard, but especially in DC, where the architecture tends to look back rather than forward. It was designed by renowned local architect Division1 Architects, who took a very contemporary approach to designing The Lacey. From the outside, it looks as though boxes were stacked on top of one another. DC Modern Living magazine compared the design to that of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian who used a similar format with his art. The building has a rooftop deck with panoramic views of the city, Washington Monument, and Capitol.

The Lacey definitely appeals to those with an appreciation of art and design, and it has hosted a number of local art shows since its opening last year. With 26 units, the building is on the smaller side, which adds to the sense of community that already exists among the residents. Community was actually deigned into the building itself, as the common areas and interior have an open design to encourage neighbors to meet and see each other as they come and go. Also, yoga, maid service, boot camp and a spa day are all provided as complementary extras to purchasers.
The new prices (below) on the remaining units were characterized to us as a “steal”, which is not surprising given the quality of the construction and the desirability of the U Street neighborhood. Click the unit number to see the full listing on Redfin.
