The Circulator's "Where's My Bus" Service

DC recently launched Where’s My Bus, a service that lets Circulator bus riders know how far away the next bus is from their stop.
Riders who want to know when the next bus on their route will arrive should go to circulator.dc.gov then select their route and bus stop, and the new service will use real-time GPS data to tell how close the next few buses are to the stop. The service will also let the rider know of any service disruptions.
This is a different service from NextBus that we wrote about in late May. NextBus, which launches on July 1, will allow riders to retrieve real-time bus arrival information from Metro’s web site, by telephone or from electronic signs installed at select stops.
The city is working on an iPhone application for Where’s My Bus, which they hope to launch in late summer.
