Does your home have a steam oven or a pizza oven? If so, it may enhance the price when you decide to sell.
A recent Zillow analysis examined listing language and sales performance from thousands of for-sale homes in 2022. Listings with chef-friendly amenities, such as steam ovens, pizza ovens and professional-grade appliances, sold for up to 5.3% more than similar homes without them, per the analysis.

"That adds up to about $17,400 on a typical U.S. home," the report said "Trendy statement features such as terrazzo and she sheds — the female equivalent of the man cave — can contribute to a 2.5% sale premium when mentioned in a listing description."
Other listing language that seems to enhance home prices, per the report:
- Soapstone -- 2.5% premium
- Modern farmhouse -- 2.4% premium
- Mid-century -- 2.3% premium
Zillow notes that it is not solely the inclusion of these terms that bumps up sales price.
