The zip code where home values have risen the most this year is 20895, which is home to Kensington. The rise in prices for 3- and 4-bedroom detached houses drove appreciation. The next three zip codes which are home to areas of Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Md. and portions of Silver Spring all saw home values rise by around 13%-14%.
Rounding out the bottom of the list are zip codes for areas including Hyattsville, Glen Echo, Silver Spring and Rockville.
