Sandy Threatens 2,200 Homes in the DC Area
The data firm CoreLogic has determined that 284,000 homes across the country are at risk of being damaged by Hurricane Sandy, and that includes just over 2,200 in the DC area.
From CoreLogic:
“This is a large, slow-moving, persistent and dangerous storm. Its impacts are going to be far-reaching and no doubt very costly,” said Dr. Howard Botts, vice president and director of database development for CoreLogic Spatial Solutions.
The total damage estimates are based on the storm remaining a category 1 hurricane.
