Residences, Artist Incubator Space Planned For Star and Shamrock Building on H Street

1341 H Street NE
Changes are on the boards for the building that houses Star and Shamrock and Bullfrog Bagels along H Street NE.
Taurus Development Group has filed plans with the Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) to add two levels to the three-story property at 1341 H Street NE (map), as well as build a five-story addition to the back of the building that will have parking and cellar levels.

Plans for the redeveloped building vary from floor to floor. The ground and first levels will continue to be used as restaurant and retail space (there are no indications from the zoning documents that Star and Shamrock will move), while the second and third levels will be office incubator space for artists and design professionals; the third level will also house one live/work unit.
The fourth and fifth levels will consist of eight residential units and there will be four private terraces on the roof. The lowest level of the property will have eleven parking spots.
Here is our look at the residential developments on the boards from the H Street Corridor from earlier this year.
