Images show what a proposed condo development along 16th Street NW may eventually look like.
Dila Development has plans in the works for a six-story, 34-unit condominium building just south of the Unification Church at 1610 Columbia Road NW (map), and renderings filed with DC's Historic Preservation Office this week provide the best sense yet of what it will look like when it delivers.
The developer originally filed plans last November for the new builfding, but the project has gone through various iterations after neighbors and the HPRB raised concerns about the height and design.

The plans for the new building, designed by 2Plys Architecture and Development, received encouraging comments from the HPRB this summer, but will come back before the Board for further review in the coming months.
