A high-end boutique condo project in Georgetown along the canal is moving forward.
A development from One Street planned for the building at 1048 29th Street NW (map) will retrofit the property with four, 4,000-5,000 square-foot residential units and eight parking spaces. The development has received concept approval and is currently going through the building permit review process.
When originally proposed back in January, the project, designed by Rich Markus Architects, called for 8 residential units above retail. The developer told the Washington Business Journal a few months ago that the project will be "ultra, ultra luxury."
The planned development is one of two projects along the canal from One Street. The developer also has plans to convert the office building at 3333 K Street NW (map) into a 30-unit residential development.
