Lock7 Development, the local real estate development firm that specializes in sustainable and high-end home design, recently debuted several boutique condominiums across DC. Among those are The Ferris in Columbia Heights, The Wyeth in Petworth, The Duncan in Brookland and Northern Liberties in Shaw, which have a combined six homes left on the market, now being offered with price improvements.
The Ferris
The Ferris (map) is a contemporary development consisting of two expansive, luxury units behind a modern brick rowhouse exterior. The remaining residence features two-bedrooms plus a den and two-and-a-half bathrooms over two levels. It is now priced at $799,900 and the property is holding an OPEN HOUSE this Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
Offering more than 1,600 square feet of space, the unit boasts an oversized kitchen and living area, spacious closets, wonderful natural light and a private patio off the kitchen. Finishes include hardwood oak floors, striking marble bathrooms, dark cabinetry and brass fixtures.
Located on a quiet block near the intersection of 10th Street and Otis Place NW, The Ferris is a six-minute walk from the Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro Station and just a few blocks from a variety of popular 11th and 14th street restaurants including Queen’s English, Makan and The Coupe. Grocery stores Yes! Organic Market and Safeway are also within close walking distance.
The Wyeth
Completed this summer, only three of The Wyeth’s nine high-end homes are still on the market. The units are priced competitively from $574,900 to $629,900 and the property is holding an OPEN HOUSE this Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. While each residence is unique, with some featuring Juliet balconies, all three available homes feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms over two floors.
Finishes are contemporary and include white oak European hardwood flooring; floor-to-ceiling windows; kitchens with stainless steel GE appliances, gas cooking, quartz counters and soft-close white shaker cabinetry; and bathrooms with chrome Delta fixtures. All of the homes also have smart thermostats and Elfa closet systems.
The Wyeth (map) is located in a prime Petworth location, just three blocks north of the Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro Station and less than two blocks south of the neighborhood’s popular Upshur Street restaurant strip, which is home to highly acclaimed Himitsu and Timber Pizza Company. Like The Ferris, The Wyeth is within walking distance of Yes! Organic Market and Safeway grocery stores.
The Duncan
Just one home remains at The Duncan, a dynamic 11-unit property in the heart of Brookland. Priced at $674,900, the penthouse offers a rare configuration: three oversized bedrooms and three modern bathrooms over two floors with a private roof deck. Finishes include quartz countertops, gas cooking and walk-in closets, and the home is well suited for entertaining. The building's amenities include a green roof, which helps conserve energy and manage stormwater, and the available unit has one parking space.
The Duncan (map) is located on 12th Street NE, Brookland’s oldest and most well-established thoroughfare. Restaurants and shops include Primrose, Brookand’s Finest, CVS and Pho 12. The property is also steps from Monroe Street, home to Brookland’s newest commercial center, which includes Busboys & Poets, Brookland Pint, Chipotle and a Saturday morning farmer’s market. The Duncan is holding an OPEN HOUSE this Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
Northern Liberties
Northern Liberties is a renovated, historic building in a prime Shaw location. One home remains on the market, priced at $599,900, and features two large bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Finishes include white oak floors and a chef's kitchen with gas cooking and wine fridge.
Located on 8th Street NW between P and Q streets, Northern Liberties (map) is equidistant from the Mt. Vernon Square and Shaw-Howard Metro Stations. Though the property is on a quiet residential street, it is within close walking distance of dozens of popular Shaw restaurants, cafes and bars including La Jambe, Dacha Beer Garden, Compass Coffee and Convivial.
