McWilliams|Ballard, an Alexandria firm that handles the sales and marketing for a large share of the new condo developments in the DC area, has published The Condominium Portfolio, a booklet of all its projects in the DC metro region that have units for sale. It is published as an insert in this week’s Washington Business Journal and the local edition of the Wall Street Journal. The booklet features over 40 projects in total, spread across DC, Maryland, and northern Virginia. The vast majority of the listed projects are condos, with a few townhouse and single-family home projects sprinkled in.

While primarily a promotional piece, The Condominium Portfolio serves as a good resource for the home buyer to get a sense of what the local market currently offers in terms of new condos. Some of the projects are very new, having delivered in just the last few months, while others delivered in 2007 and have a few units left for sale. There is also a range in terms of price, with affordable projects offering units in the $200s while units in certain luxury buildings start at $1.4 million.
If you can’t get your hands on the Washington Business Journal or local Wall Street Journal, an interactive electronic version of the booklet is available online here (click your mouse to the bottom-right of each page to turn to the next page). You could also print the booklet yourself from this PDF version.
