Homebuyers in the DC region continued to apply the brakes in November as interest rates rising north of 7% put a chill on the market. As a supplement to UrbanTurf's article on the state of the market yesterday, we plucked out some of the more telling statistics from last month below.

- $550,000 -- The median price for a home in the DC area in November, up 1.4% year-over-year.
- 4,284 -- The number of new listings to come online in November, down 22%.
- 1.31 -- The monthly supply of active listings in the DC region, up 51% compared to last year.
- 73,856 -- The total number of home showings in the region last month, down 42% year-over-year.
- 3,671 -- The number of homes sold in the region, down 42% from November 2021.
