Huckberry Plans To Open Georgetown Store

Huckberry looks like it is going to have a presence in Georgetown.
The online retailer and magazine for men’s apparel and gear filed an application this month with DC's Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) for a Huckberry sign at a new store at 1239 Wisconsin Avenue NW (map). Huckberry would take over the space that LOFT previously occupied

The company only has three other stores in the U.S., and some of those locations are pop-ups rather than permanent storefronts, so it will be interesting to see what the plan is for the DC outpost.
It has been a busy year for new retail announcements in Georgetown. In January, news came that Tesla would move its downtown DC location to M Street, and late last year Kim Kardashian's Skims underwear brand filed plans to open a store across the street at the Eastbanc building at 3300 M Street NW. In May, Raising Canes, the popular Louisiana chicken chain, filed plans to open a location along M Street. And earlier this month, news came that chef Jose Andres is partnering on a new hotel along M Street NW.
