Guess the Price DC Shake Shack Winner

Late last week, UrbanTurf ran a special edition of Guess the Price in honor of the widely-anticipated DC opening of Shake Shack tomorrow. Since the original Shake Shack is located in Madison Square Park in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, we gave readers the chance to guess the price of a listing for sale not far from this location.

48 West 22nd Street, #2
Given the prize being offered, UrbanTurf did not offer up many details about the listing. We did reveal that the property was somewhere in the 1,500 to 2,500 square-foot range, and that it has the classic features (exposed brick, high ceilings, private elevator entry) that a buyer would find in a Manhattan loft.
UrbanTurf decided that the most appropriate prize for the reader with the closest guess was a meal at Dupont Circle’s newest burger establishment when it opens on Tuesday. Shake Shack is also known for its legendary long lines, so UrbanTurf also offered to stand in line for the winner. (The latter we will certainly be regretting if it is raining tomorrow around 11am.)
So, without further ado, congratulations to JD for being just $5,000 off the asking price of $1.895 million. Here is the listing. The guesses, which due to the popularity of the prize were cut off on Saturday, ranged from a low of $1.1 million to a high of $2.86 million.
Look for us in line tomorrow getting JD his Shack Burger and strawberry shake.
