Gotta Have: Walk Score’s Newest Feature Is Customized To You

Walk Score’s Newest Feature
Are you a freelancer who frequents coffee shops but never drives? Parent of a small child? Barfly? Walk Score recently introduced a feature that can help you find a home that fits your lifestyle.
Walk Score is known for the numerical shorthand that it offers to rate walkable communities. Now, in addition to providing an overall walkability grade and filtering based on commute time, transit options and price, Walk Score adapts to individuals.
Their newest feature “Gotta Have” takes into account individual preferences. Apartment hunters can choose any combination of the following search terms: grocery store, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, rental car or school. Walk Score will filters options to provide the best apartment fits based on these needs/wants.
To its credit, Walk Score has been steadily expanding their functionality since it launched in 2007, and now provides Transit Scores, calculates commute times, and rates entire neighborhoods. Were waiting until they filter out apartments next to barking dogs.
