Users enter in their property address and information about their electricity bill and then Project Sunroof recommends the appropriate size for the solar panel installation and the cost, whether you decide to purchase or lease the equipment.
“Project Sunroof uses current solar industry pricing data to run the numbers on leasing, taking a loan, or buying solar panels for your house to help you choose what’s best for you,” according to the Project Sunroof site.
Unfortunately, DC property owners will have to be patient. Project Sunroof is only operating in the San Francisco, Fresno and Boston areas currently.
