Rendering of 1151 Bladensburg Road NE.
The booming development on the H Street Corridor continues to move east and even north.
Douglas Development has plans to build 13 apartments and 4,000 square feet of retail at 1151 Bladensburg Road NE (map). The development will have retail on the first floor and apartments on the second and third levels. Designed by Core Architecture, the project is expected to deliver in about a year, Douglas’ Matthew Jemal tells UrbanTurf.
The development is just the latest project to spring up east of the Corridor. Valor Development presented plans in November for a seven-story, 250 to 300 unit development at 1603-1625 Benning Road NE (map). And just before Christmas, Capital City Real Estate submitted a planned unit development (PUD) for a 180-unit residential development adjacent to the Hechinger Mall at 1701 H Street NE (map).
