Deal of the Week: Bank-Owned on H Street
1437 G Street NE (the red house). Image courtesy of Google Maps.
Several months ago, UrbanTurf featured a three-bedroom between Capitol Hill and H Street that was being sold as-is and we noted that the lack of interior photos likely meant that the listing needed a good deal of work. The house was listed for $252,000, but sold at the end of May for almost $100,000 above the list price.
While it is a foreclosure and not quite the bargain of the one mentioned above, we think this installment of Deal of the Week will find a buyer fairly quickly.
The three-bedroom, two-level home sits near the corner of 14th and G Street NE, and has an unfinished basement, a full-size kitchen and a deep backyard. It is being sold as-is and does not qualify for FHA or VA financing, but its price and proximity to H Street will probably catch the eye of a buyer looking for a project.
More details below.
- Full Listing: 1437 G Street NE (map)
- Price: $318,900
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: 1.5
- Square Footage: 1,414
