Skip and his wife Debbie are one of the DC area’s most successful real estate sales teams – ranked in the “Top 1% of all DC area REALTORS” for successful sales each of the past 15 years, and they set that high standard of excellence for all DC Living® agents.
Skip previously was an attorney at a prominent law firm, and he also previously was a law clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His law clients included many Fortune 100 companies who required a high level of client service and care, in addition to a fine understanding of legal principles, negotiating and contractual skills and attention to detail. With his strong skills and background, Skip serves his real estate clients at the highest level rarely seen in residential real estate. While no longer practicing law full-time, Skip remains a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland and the American Bar Association.
At age 23, Skip owned two apartment buildings. At age 30, he and his wife owned a number of apartment buildings, homes, condominiums and a commercial building – properties they had designed and built, renovated and/or bought as investments. Skip draws on this unique personal real estate experience in combination with his extensive sales and legal experience to benefit his clients and the professionals of DC Living®.
Skip currently serves as Founder and President of the DC Design House – the region’s foremost annual residential design attraction and a leading fund-raiser for Children’s National Health System. Skip is a licensed Principal Broker in the DC, VA and MD.

Debbie has been a consistent top selling professional in the greater Washington, DC area for over 17 years. For the past 15 years, she has teamed with her husband Skip where they are ranked in the “Top 1% of all DC Area REALTORS” for successful sales each year.
Debbie is energetic and dynamic: she enjoys running and fitness and is a supporter of animal rescue. In addition to her current successful real estate career, she enjoyed a successful past career as owner of Debbie’s Famous Granola – an award-winning international specialty food company. Her energy and diverse sales and business experience are unique skills she brings to better serve her real estate clients at the highest level.
Debbie comes from a family of artists and she enjoys painting, fashion, and design with an eye for detail and organization. Jason has over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry. He was born and raised in Florence, Alabama, then went on to graduate from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate. After graduating from college, Jason held several positions with some of the nation’s leading Real Estate Investment Trust in Birmingham, Alabama, Denver, Colorado and Washington D.C.
Jason’s experience in Financial & Operational Management provides his clients with attention to detail in every real estate transaction. His personal and caring approach are evident through his desire to make every real estate transaction smooth and stress-free. Jason thrives on staying current with the latest technology so his clients can be anywhere in the world and know that they can accomplish their real estate goals with his help. Jason is an active volunteer for the National Capital Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Karen is the Property Manager of DC Living Real Estate LLC.
Prior to joining the firm, Karen served as the Director of Administration at the Cancer Support Community (CSC) headquarters in DC. CSC is the largest professionally led nonprofit network of cancer support worldwide and provides direct services, research and advocacy.
Karen was also a Program Associate with Crossway Community, a non-profit located in Kensington, Maryland that runs a residential and education program for low-income women and children.
For the past eight years, Karen has served on the Executive Committee of the DC Design House with DC Living Founders, Skip & Debbie Singleton. All the proceeds from the DC Design House go to Children’s National Health System.
Originally from Miami, Karen has lived in DC for over 25 years with her husband and three children. In addition, Karen is an active member in her community. She served as an ANC Commissioner in Ward 3 and has held various volunteer positions in the local public schools. In her free time, she loves reading, hiking and theatre. She has a BA in history from Barnard College in New York City.
