Best New Listings: Last Week in August Edition
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a row house on one of UrbanTurf’s favorite blocks in the city and a renovation in upper Bloomingdale.
Row house on a Favorite Block in the City
Seaton is a narrow one-way, single-block street nestled between U Street and Adams Morgan with colorful tightly-packed houses (and cars). It reminds UrbanTurf of two other blocks we’re fond of: 12th Place NW and Parker St NE. Despite Seaton Street’s proximity to some of the city’s most bustling restaurant areas, the block is clean, charming, and insulated from the hubbub — not to mention down the block from a police station. This row house has undergone renovation in recent years and includes a fireplace, exposed brick, and French doors that lead to a patio in the back.

Large Renovated Row House in Upper Bloomingdale
At over 3,000 square feet, this five-bedroom row house a block from McMillan Reservoir offers tons of space. While almost $800,000 might seem like a hefty price for this area, the just-renovated home does offer a lot beyond elbow room: there’s a roof deck and back deck, a garage with roll-up door, and an English basement ready for a tenant to help out with the mortgage.

- Price: $789,000
- Bedrooms: Five
