A massive jump in online home searches appears to have accompanied skyrocketing home sales in Northern Virginia following the Amazon HQ2 announcement.
Today, Trulia released a report showing that between November 3rd and 13th, when Amazon's selected cities were confirmed, online searches for Northern Virginia real estate listings shot up. Most of this search activity originated in tech hubs, like Silicon Valley and Seattle.

Week-over-week search activity peaked two days later after the Washington Business Journal made a similar report, rising by 743 percent. Search activity mellowed out once the announcement was made final on the 13th.

As UrbanTurf pointed out last month, listing agents are increasingly touting proximity to National Landing regardless of how close they actually are. As of December 8th, there were at least 100 listings on Trulia across 44 DC-area neighborhoods that mentioned National Landing.
