Rendering for Gables Residential.
One more major mixed-use development project is in the works for White Flint.
Gables White Flint is planning a $110 million project facing Old Georgetown Road, to the west of the White Flint Metro station (map). Current plans call for about 500 residential units, 30,000 square feet of retail and a large parking garage with 470 of the spaces reserved for residents.
The developers are in the early stages of designing the buildings. We will let you know a more concrete timeline as it becomes available.

The plan for Gables Residential.
Gables White Flint would be the latest addition to the massive redevelopment of the area surrounding the White Flint Metro station, which is on its way to becoming a high-density, walkable town center. In addition to many residential, retail and office developments, new streets will cut through the land, easing walkability. Foot and bike paths will also connect the buildings to several parks and open areas.
The planned Gables development will be just north of a large community park, pool and rec center, dubbed Wall Park that could begin construction in 2015.
