The Washington Commanders and design firm HKS have released the first renderings of the seating bowl for the team's new stadium at the former RFK site.

Rather than stacking premium levels or breaking the bowl into disconnected tiers, the design wraps fans in one continuous sweep from the field up to the upper deck — an approach the team says is meant to recreate the tight, deafening atmosphere associated with the franchise's championship years while incorporating modern stadium technology.

A few features stand out in the renderings. The lower bowl has been expanded and seating angles reworked throughout, pulling fans closer to the field, with the first row raised above the playing surface to keep sightlines clear over the sideline. The bowl's geometry — combined with the roof design — is also engineered to trap and redirect crowd noise back down onto the field, a detail the team is betting will make it one of the louder buildings in the league. Also included is a section billed as the "Wall of Fans," a dense, affordably-priced seating block.

The videoboard system is another focal point of the renderings, with large sideline screens paired with endzone boards and connected by a halo that circles the bowl.
