Amazon has released designs for its second headquarters and they are quite something.
The company's Arlington headquarters will, among other buildings, feature a 370,000 square-foot shell like structure called The Helix that will rise 350 feet in the air.
"The Helix at our Arlington headquarters will offer a variety of alternative work environments for Amazon employees amidst lush gardens and flourishing trees native to the region," Amazon said. "A true double helix in shape and structure, this unique building will feature two walkable paths of landscaped terrain that will spiral up the outside of the building, featuring plantings you may find on a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia."

There will be a total of 2.8 million square feet of new office space distributed across three 22-story buildings. The headquarters will have over 2.5 acres for public use, including an amphitheater and 20,000 square feet of community space. The project was designed by architecture firm NBBJ.
Construction of The Helix and the other office buildings are expected to begin next year and be complete by 2025.
