$27,000 Above Asking for Brightwood Park Four-Bedroom

Past the covered front porch of this Brightwood Park rowhouse is an expanded interior with front-to-back double exposure on the main level. $40,000 Premium for a Rare Gessford Rowhouse

In addition to going under contract within a day of hitting the market, this 400 square-foot rowhouse also sold for $40,000 above its asking price . The premium may have something to do with the one-bedroom's history as one of the last five remaining workforce rowhouses architect Charles Gessford designed in Lincoln Park, but it could also have something to do with the house's deceptively efficient layout. There is an 11 foot-tall, skylit tray ceiling in the main living area, along with a pair of door-framed mirrors facing each other on opposite sides of the glass front door. The galley pass-through kitchen has ample storage among its stacked square cabinets, and the bedroom is a real treat with its combo washer/dryer and sliding glass doors that lead out to a fenced-in patio with access to a parking pad.
