When the Eckington rowhome owned by Andre Jean of JohannesRE was destroyed by a fire three years ago, he committed to re-build and create something special for the neighborhood.
Now, the final product—The Residence at 2116, a boutique condo building boasting top-notch craftsmanship—is delivering.
Behind the original Federal-style exterior, the home was completely gutted. Jean—who has completed several residential projects in Eckington—got to work with Maple Development on creating the property’s three exceptionally spacious condominiums.
The Residence at 2116, located on 4th Street NE, includes a pair of two-bedroom + den homes measuring 1,500 square feet each. A one-bedroom + den home with one-and-a-half bathrooms measuring 1,000 square feet sits at the top of the development. All three residences have private-use outdoor space, including a patio, porch and a rooftop terrace.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are oversized, as are the windows, drenching the homes with natural light. Finishes are sleek, modern and luxurious and include wide-plank hardwood flooring throughout, shaker cabinetry, Samsung stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and floating bathroom vanities.
The Residence at 2116 is located less than a half mile from the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metro Stop on the Red Line and has beautiful views of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The project also has four secure, off-street parking spots available for purchase.
In addition to this project, Jean is currently developing a bespoke alley property behind 4th Street that is poised to increase the value of new residences.
Sales for The Residence at 2116 are underway, with pricing ranging from $700,000 to $800,000. The project will deliver at the end of November. One residence is currently staged and tours can be arranged with agent Hannah Hinzman at 561-316-3561or hhinzman@ttrsir.com.
